Origin of Aberaeron, Wales

The following information was extracted from a Web site about the history of Aberaeron. The fact that Aberaeron was built by someone named Jones is probably just a coincidence.

From the Web site
In 1805 the Rev. Alban Thomas Jones inherited the staggering sum of £150,000 and a large country estate, and set about constructing a harbour at the mouth of the river Aeron, encouraging merchants to build houses around it. Within a few short years Aberaeron was flourishing and growing rapidly providing a much needed trading route for the agricultural lands to its east.
